Despite a rather wet couple of days, in the middle of the week long show, the attendance was better than expected during the global financial crisis at the 24th Empuriabrava used boats show here in the Costa Brava, Spain. We managed to convince some owners that this is the prime time to try and attract the fewer buyers that are actively searching for a boat and to reduce the prices of their boats to sell in the current market.

The general atmosphere was encouraging with most of the local brokers and dealers working together to try and make those all important sales. It was also an ideal time to invite potential purchasers to come and view the boats in the water,having been cleaned and polished for the show. The general feedback has been good and we managed to meet some interesting owners and buyers alike. It's always lovely when someone recognises your logo and stops you for a chat. Look out for the upcoming listings we have received instructions for and the number of existing listings where we have negotiated some dramatic price reductions on.

We started the show prepared with the new look multilingual flyers, new look 'For Sale' signs and the new huge banners which we displayed wherever we could put them so our exposure locally has grown significantly.
