BMF South West Conference and AGM
The Board of the BMF South West are pleased to announce that the Annual Conference and AGM will take place on the 10th February 2012 at the main campus of South Devon College, Paignton.
The day presents a great opportunity to meet with colleagues from the region and discuss major topics affecting the marine industry. In addition the South West Board are pleased to have available on the Round Table discussions experts including;

• Neil Stallard, Alpha Logic Waste Management

In the afternoon there is an optional tour of South Devon College Marine Academy at Noss. This is a great opportunity to see the work students and apprentices are undertaking at Noss. Bringing new young apprentices and employees into the marine sector is vital to its future growth and prosperity.
The Conference is open to BMF Members and anyone involved in the marine business in the South West Region. Boatshed Dartmouth are active members of the BMF and Boatshed Dartmouth broker Paul Singer is Secretary and Treasurer of the Region. In the current climate the Board are keen to promote the vital part the region plays in the marine sector as it is a major employer across Devon and Cornwall providing nearly 10,000 jobs across the region. As well as major manufacturers like Princess Yachts the region has many hundreds of marine business involved in nearly every aspect of both consumer and commercial marine business. In terms of the UK as a whole the South West is one of the largest regions in the marine sector accounting for over 30% of the £2.9 billion UK turnover
