Branlebas de Régates 2011 – St Malo, La Mer en Fête.
Ahhhh, finalement, l’été est arrivé, le soleil est sorti, les vacances commencent, les estivants prennent la route et le plus grand rassemblement de bateaux se prépare pour la semaine prochaine.
Pendant de nombreuses années le Branlebas était l’événement incontournable à ne pas manquer. Après avoir un peu perdu son élan, Jean-Francois Revert a pris en main il y a deux ans le tache de le remettre au niveau. Il implique tous les Clubs de la cote Emeraude dans l’organisation de cinq jours festives en mer et a terre du 5 au 9 aout, des IRC sur des parcours techniques et cotiers, des HN sur un programme moins stressant et une belle flotte de classiques sur des balades entre Cancale et St Cast.
Les soirées sur le Joseph Roty a St Malo, sur le terre plein du nouveau marina de St Cast, sur la plage de Port Mer et finalement sur le pont du magnifique Etoile du Roy seront chaudes et amicales.
Régatier, plaisancier, amoureux de vieux gréements ou simple spectateur de la voile et tous ces couleurs, venez assister a cette très belle célébration de la mer.

So……, finally….., summer has arrived in St Malo, the sun is shining, the holidays begin, the roads are flooded with the annual exodus towards the coast and the number one summer sailing event is fine tuning its last minute preparations.
For many years the Branlebas was THE event on the Emerald coast, and, having lost its way for a while, Jean-Francois Revert has put it back where it belongs, involving all the local Clubs in a festive program afloat and ashore. Serious racing for the IRC fleet, more relaxed courses for the HN competitors, and a veritable spectacle of sail for the smashing collection of classic yachts and gaffers.
On shore things kick off with an evening on the deep sea trawler Joseph Roty followed by bashes at the new marina in St Cast and on the beach at Port Mer, before wrapping up with a final gala on board the magnificent Etoile du Roy in the old harbour of St Malo. Will we make it to the end?
