1992 is an estimate of engine vintage. Early 1990s is the period when this boat had its major restoration and these engines would have been installed. The hour meters run when the power is turned on to the panel. It has had the panel powered for weeks at a time when the boat was in storage. The seller estimates true hours on the engines as between 200 and 250. When you open the engine room hatches they look new.

Fuel consumption is 1 gallon per hour per engine at 1750 RPM.

Steering was upgraded to hydraulic during that restoration. Recently in 2021 the exhaust manifolds were removed and epoxy coated on the insides. New engine zincs and fresh oil changes.

3 batteries, one house new in 2021, 2 starting new in 2020.

This hull was transported to Phoenix, AZ in the early 90s. It was dried in the desert heat to where the wood contained 7% moisture at which time the restoration on the wood, using modern epoxy methods, was performed.

The hull is Port Orford Cedar over white oak frames epoxy coated inside, splined and with West Systems epoxy outside so it's fair to call it a composite hull. The bottom under water is fiberglassed over. The hull also had an additional layer of planking added from where the shaft logs exit the hull to the rudders to strengthen that area.

The hull sides are faired and painted. The transom is original planks with West Systems epoxy showing in voids.

Deck equipment and fixtures are almost all polished brass.

Restoration in the 90s and continuing has focused on keeping the boat period-specific to the 1920s while updating and modernizing systems.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

When first entering the cockpit you are reminded of the design features of the 1920s. Yachts tended to have narrower beam compared to today, and narrowing a bit toward the stern was a common and now classic feature. This cockpit has very nice teak planking. The roof has been extended to cover this area and has a beautiful green Sunbrella canvas with scalloped edges. This cover also has Stephens Bros. Manufacturing logo embroidered into the sides.

Entering the main salon from the cockpit the companionway door is to port. It is stained glass upper half and wood lower half. The floors are beautifully refinished parquet with a burgundy carpet over the top. To starboard is a settee finished with what appears as velour and diamond tucked with buttons. (Very authentic to the time period)

The helm is center with side doors out both sides to the foredeck.

Port of center are three steps down to the galley which is beautifully-done with checkerboard tile in black and white. Galley is to starboard, tastefully updated yet appears as period appropriate.

The forward cabin is truly a "Master Suite". It has single berths on both sides and is beautifully decorated with luxurious appointments. You feel like you've entered a museum display paying homage to the charm and elegance of a bygone era.

This cabin has a center companionway to the forward head compartment which is located in the fo'c'sle.

Commentaires du Broker

Few classic boats are finished inside with the level of authentic, period-specific accuracy as is this boat. When entering the saloon and as you look forward to the galley and master suite you feel like you've been transported back to the roaring 20s!

As a yacht broker I get to go aboard very many boats over time. This one truly made me smile. It is simply gorgeous!

Stephens Bros. was one of America's premier yacht manufacturers, having begun shortly after the arrival of the 20th century. By the 20s, 30s and 40s they were the "go-to" quality builder for the wealthy.

Adding to the beauty of this classic yacht is the updated modernization of her power and shipboard systems. Two modern diesel engines, hydraulic steering and other renewals aboard allow her to be used like a modern yacht.

Her Port Orford Cedar planked hull has been re-planked as needed, completely re-fastened with stainless steel fasteners, West System epoxy coated on the inside then splined and epoxied on the outside. It was faired and painted so today her hull could be considered composite construction.

She is stored on a tri-axle galvanized trailer and is ready to be transported to a new home.

There also exists the opportunity of continuing to keep this boat in her present airplane hanger space by leasing from the seller. OAC.

The seller is also interested in a partial trade for a 2010 or newer Motor Home preferably a diesel pusher.
