Broker's Comments

Southerly Yachts began building in Southampton, UK in the mid 1970s. They were innovative designs, lifting keel technology being fairly new then, the early Southerly 28s became very popular and 148 were built. Not only their ability to 'float on damp grass' but also their versatility makes them still a great choice for coastal cruising.

The mast is seated in a tabernacle so dropping the rig and using the interior helm position for canal passages opens up other cruising grounds not always accessible

This Southerly 28 is neat and tidy above and clean and fresh below decks and although she has not been used much in the last few years she seems to be well found and complete.
