The Elizabethan 33 has a solid GRP hull using woven roving's, with a bolt-on external iron ballast keel. The deck and cockpit moulding are also GRP, with balsa cores in horizontal areas, replaced with ply core in stress areas for fitting. Like almost all GRP boats of this era, the hull mouldings are much more heavily built than modern production yachts.

Broker's Comments
Boatshed Wales is pleased to present this Elizabethan 33 for sale.
This classic, long-keeled yacht is distinguished by her elegant lines and impressive performance as a long-distance, open-water cruiser. With a good turn of speed and respectable windward performance, she has become a favored choice among sailors seeking a mid-sized, long-distance passage-maker.
Extensively sailed in 2023, this vessel explored the Channel Islands, much of the Devon and Cornish coastline, Southern Ireland, and Pembrokeshire, where she is currently stored ashore. The sellers praise her excellent sea-keeping abilities, noting the boat's stable and reassuring behavior even in challenging conditions.
The accommodation includes a quarter berth aft of the navigation station, a 'sea-going' galley opposite, and a central saloon with a large, twin-leaf folding table surrounded by seating. The saloon seating converts into one single and one double berth. Additionally, there is a sea toilet with a washbasin to port and a V-berth forward.
The sails, engine, and batteries are believed to be in good condition, having undergone regular servicing and attention. The engine oil and filters were replaced when the boat was lifted ashore at the end of the 2023 sailing season.
Some areas could benefit from attention, particularly the interior woodwork, which shows some wear. Replacing the upholstery would help modernize the vessel, and the spray hood is due for renewal. A thorough wash and clean would also enhance her appearance.
This capable and attractive yacht, with a little effort, could once again become the ‘belle of the bay.’
