This weekends event is one of Suffolks maritime regulars, 2012 is the seventh annual event for Smacks and ex working craft based upon the Orwell and Stour and Deben rivers.

Head down the Orwell to witness some of the most beautiful vessels from yester-year. These iconic fishing smacks have gathered to race the circuit from Pin Mill out round Outer Ridge buoy and back via the Stour estuary to finish at Pin Mill.

The race starts at 1030 and will easily be witnessed as they race down the Orwell and watched off of Felixstowe. Not to worry of you can't get to see these wonderful vessels in action during the day, wander down to Woolverstone Marina where you will find them moored being the home berth for this weekend with the skippers and crew comparing notes and stories of the weekends activities.
